PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a securing type disposable diaper which can be easily worn so that it is unnecessary to be aware of placing a back side part on which a securing tape is mounted up and a front side part down, or holding a wearer up in arms even when he/she lies on his/her stomach. SOLUTION: A hook side 5 of a hook and loop fastener is mounted on a top sheet 1 or a back sheet 2 at each flap on one side of the disposable diaper, and also a hook side 5 is mounted on a top sheet 1 or a back sheet 2 at each flap on the other side of it. Therefore, a first fixing condition where the hook sides 5 on one side can be secured to the back sheet 2 or the top sheet 1 on the other side which works as a loop side of a hook and loop fastener, and a second fixing condition where the hook sides 5 on the other side can be secured to the back sheet 2 or the top sheet 1 on one side as the loop side of the hook and loop fastener, can be taken.
