<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical rotary encoder that can quickly cope with an arbitrary angular resolution or graduation pattern and is easily applicable to wide-variety and small-quantity production. <P>SOLUTION: The optical rotary encoder is provided with a rotary disc with graduations formed around its circumference, a light projection part, a lens, an optical reader that is provided with a light receiving part and reads out a graduation from the rotary disc, an a light shielding plate that is arranged before the light receiving part and wherein slits corresponding to the graduations on the rotary disc are formed. It reads graduations formed on the rotary disc by collimating light from the light projection part by the lens and emitting them to the rotary disc. A scale plate (1) is manufactured by emitting a laser beam to a scale plate material while it is placed on XYθtables (711, 712, 713) of a laser machining device (710), controlling the movement of the XYθtables appropriately, and forming graduations on the scale plate material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
