<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyboard musical instrument having a structure with a large flexibility in design without generating restrictions caused by a front panel which is fixed in an upright condition. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic keyboard musical instrument is provided with a keyboard which is to be played and operated, front and back covers which are divided and located in the front and the back in a closed condition, a cover unit which opens the top of the keyboard while the front and the back covers are folded in an open condition and a musical instrument body which stores the keyboard and a musical sound generating means. Top sections of the front and the back covers are respectively coupled by hinge sections in a freely rotative manner. The back end section of the front cover is supported by turnably supporting sections fixed to the main body turnably at the portions below the hinge sections. The back cover is turnably supported by guiding mechanisms provided on side plates along the front and the back directions.
