PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document management system enabling a user to easily search a usable important document regardless of that the number of document management devices is single or plural. SOLUTION: This system comprises at least one document management device 1 retaining documents, and providing, according to a providing request of document acquired from a user, a document requested to provide of the retained documents to the user, and an information providing device 2. The information providing device 2 records the content of providing requests made to each document management device 1 by the user, performs a predetermined statistic processing of the record, and provides the result of the statistic processing to a user-side client device 3.
