PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire that improves riding comfort during normal travelling while minimizing mass increase and can improve durability during run-flat travel. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire comprises a carcass layer 4 that extends from a tread section 1 to a bead section 3 through a sidewall section 2 and is formed of two or less carcass plies 4A and 4B made of organic fiber code, and a belt layer 6 formed of at least two belt plies 6A and 6B. The tread section 1 has tread reinforcing rubber layers 8 on the radial outside of the carcass ply 4B lying on the outermost side in the tire radial direction and on the radial inside of the belt ply 6A lying on the innermost side in the tire radial direction. The sidewall section 2 has a side reinforcing rubber layer 9 having falcate cross section on the axial inside of the carcass ply 4A lying on the innermost side in the tire axial direction, and at least one of carcass plies 4A and 4B is folded around a bead core 5.
