DAMPER FOR VEHICLE FOR IMPROVING RIDING COMFORT, GROUNDING PERFORMANCE, AND TRAVELING STABILITY

PURPOSE: A damper for a vehicle is provided to improve riding comfort and grounding performance of tires by increasing the performance of repulsive power in a bump motion and to improve traveling stability by enhancing restraint for posture changes of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A damper(10) for a vehicle is composed of a cylinder(1) comprising outer and inner cans(1a,1b); a cylinder cover(2) for covering an upper part of the outer can; a piston rod(3) for penetrating the outer and inner cans in order through an upper end of the cylinder cover and reciprocating rectilinearly along the longitudinal direction of the cylinder; a piston(4) combined with one end of the piston rod positioned in the inner can; a stopper combined to the other end of the piston rod positioned outside the cylinder cover and connected to a vehicle body; oil(7) filled in the cylinder; a hollow hole(31) connected in the piston rod of the piston; a plurality of ribs(33) projected at the inside of the hollow hole and formed along the longitudinal direction of the hollow hole; and a guide shaft(35) fixed and installed on the bottom side of the inner can and composed of a groove(35a) formed on the outer peripheral surface and combined with the rib. The diameter of the hollow hole gets gradually smaller from the piston to the piston rod.
