<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter having a stainless steel cylindrical shaft formed with a solid lubricant layer on a peripheral surface, wherein the cylindrical shaft does not gather rust easily. <P>SOLUTION: The catheter 10 is produced to have a fluorocarbon resin based solid lubricant layer 5 on the peripheral surface of the stainless steel cylindrical shaft 1, wherein the above peripheral surface is coated with the material for the above solid lubricant layer, and the above material is treated with heat of 340°C or lower. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
