<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink giving an image having a transmission image density of ≥2.5 and good storage stability by ink-jet recording and usable for a medical diagnostic image, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink for ink-jet recording capable of forming an image having a transmission density of ≥2.5 on a light-transmitting medium contains at least one kind of dye, water and at least one kind of non-volatile water-soluble organic solvent. The ink satisfies the formula (1) 2.0≥D'/D≥0.6 wherein D is the dye concentration [g/100 g] of the ink and D' is the dye concentration [g/100 g] of a solution produced by dissolving the total quantity of the dye present in 100 g of the ink into the total quantity of the non-volatile water-soluble organic solvent present in 100 g of the ink. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
