<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide light that can also indicate an evacuation direction. <P>SOLUTION: The guide light 1 comprises six high intensity lamps 11 to 16 consisting of flash lamps, white light emitting diode lamps or the like, as a light source lamp 7. The lamps 11 to 16 are arranged in a line in an evacuation direction. A light emission control circuit 43 causes the lamps 11 to 16 to repeat operations of emitting light sequentially in the evacuation direction. Under appropriate setting of light emission intervals and light emission periods, an evacuating person recognizes that a light emission point of the guide light 1 appears to move in the evacuation direction.
