<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator reducible in the size of a movable member. <P>SOLUTION: The actuator is characterized in that: a vibrating member 102 is supported to a fixing board 101 extended in a prescribed direction so as to be capable of freely vibrating in the prescribed direction; a movable electrode 111 is arranged at the opposing face of the movable member 105 having opposing faces that oppose the fixing board and the vibrating member; a fixed electrode 104 or a vibrating electrode 103 is arranged to the fixing board or the vibrating member so as face the movable electrode; and the movable member is relatively moved to a desired direction relative to the fixing board by making a statistic electrical force act on a clearance between the movable electrode and the fixed electrode or between the movable electrode and the vibrating electrode by applying a potential difference to the clearance, so that apparent slide resistance between the vibrating member and the movable member becomes larger than apparent slide resistance between the fixing board and the movable member, when the vibrating member relatively displaces in the desired direction relative to the fixing board by vibration in the prescribed direction of the vibrating member generated by a laminated piezoelectric vibrator 106. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
