<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slip detecting device for a continuously variable transmission capable of correctly detecting slip of a continuously variable transmission. <P>SOLUTION: This slip detecting device is provided for a continuously variable transmission, in which the speed change ratio can be continuously variably changed. It is provided with an absolute value determining means (step S4) to determine an absolute value for a value obtained by comparing an actual value and a theoretical value related to the speed change ratio, and a slip determining means (step S4) to determine generation of slip based on the absolute value obtained by the absolute value determining means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
