LONGLINE FISHING METHOD AND LONGLINE FISHING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a longline fishing method and a longline fishing apparatus easily operable with small number of fishermen in high efficiency.

SOLUTION: The fishing apparatus is provided with a ball roller 4 and a branch line holding device 6 for orderly holding branch lines 11 each having a longline snap 10 at an end. A number of branch lines 11 each having a longline snap 10 at one end are arranged in the holding device 6, and the longline snap 10 of the branch line 11 held in the branch line holding device 6 is manually attached to a main line 7 according to the delivery of the main line 7. The main line 7 is hauled by using the ball roller 4 placed at the stern side of the deck 3 of the fishing boat 1.
