<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method that realize communication between different IP networks without using any proxy server. <P>SOLUTION: The name-address converting device includes: a decision means that decides whether communication between a communication source and a communication destination is possible according to the kinds of networks that the communication source and communication destination belong to when receiving an inquiry about an address corresponding to the name of the communication destination from the communication source; a 2nd decision means of deciding whether the address of the communication destination corresponding to the name is answered to the communication source according to the decision result of the decision means; and an answering means of obtaining and answering the address of the communication destination to the communication source when the decision means decides that the address of the communication destination is answered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
