PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which a metallic object existing in a test object, such as a human body and a box, can be detected without touching the test object and can be pinpointed the position of the metallic object in the test object. SOLUTION: The detection device 1 scans in accordance with a geometry of the test object without touching the test object, detects the metallic object existing inside the test object and pinpoints the position of the metallic object. The device 1 consists of a detection rod 2, a metal detection part 3, a recognition sensor 4, and an image processing means 5. In the image processing part 8, for example, when the person 10 as the test object owns the metallic object and the metal detection part 3 detects the metallic object, the image processing is performed based on the calculated data from a calculation processing part 6.
