PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic developer which copes with both good electrostatic charging property and carrier adhesion resistance in spite of using small-diameter toner and can form high-sharpness image free of noise for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic developer composed of a coated carrier formed by coating a core material with a coating agent and the toner is characterized by 20≤D≤30 and 2.2≤σs1,000/D≤3.6 when the volume average grain size of the carrier is defined as D (μm) and the saturation magnetization at 1k oersted is defined asσs1,000 (Am2/g).
