PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a capacitor which prevents an insulating oil impregnated into a capacitor element from being leaked and which can prevent the insulating oil from being exploded even under severe conditions. SOLUTION: The insulating oil impregnated into a capacitor element is prevented from being leaked and the insulating oil is prevented from being exploded even under severe conditions by impregnating the capacitor element formed, by laminating and rolling up a metallized plastic film obtained by coating the front surface of a derivative film covering an electrode film with a liquid-like insulator, such as, for example, a methyl hydrogen silicone oil of a cross-linking reaction monomer having a low viscosity of 25 mm<SP>2</SP>/s at 25°C, then polymerizing the methyl hydrogen silicone oil into high viscosity by heating at 130°C for 15 min or 100°C for 60 min.
