PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel for a tiled display device capable of restraining display quality degradation in a boundary between panels. SOLUTION: When display discharge is generated in a luminescent section of a peripheral part 42, phosphor layers 32 and 36 on a back plate 18 and on side faces of barrier ribs 22 and a front plate 16 are made to emit light, the light is emitted through the front plate 16. When display discharge is generated in an inside part 46, only the phosphor layers 32 on the back plate 18 and the side faces of the barrier ribs 22 are made to emit light because the phosphor layer is not formed on the front panel 16, and the light is emitted through the front plate 16. Thereby, the difference of luminous energy among pixels is reduced or eliminated, and luminescence degradation in a boundary between PDPs 10 in the tiled display device can appropriately be restrained, so that high display quality can be provided.
