PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic field modulation head wherein the going-around range of a head part is expanded, and the protection property of the head part is enhanced. SOLUTION: The magnetic field modulation head 2 having a slider 6 slid into contact with a magneto-optical recording medium (magneto-optical disk 4) is provided with projections 8, 8A, and 8B disposed in the side face part of the slider directed to the outer peripheral side of the magneto-optical recording medium, and a head part 12 mounted in contact with the projections and the side face part of the slider. Thus, the use efficiency of the magneto-optical recording medium is improved, and the fixing strength of the head part to the slider is increased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
