PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical interlock system which can be mounted in space saving capable of limiting ON-operations of a plurality of circuit breakers arrayed in an up-and-down direction. SOLUTION: The circuit breakers positioned in the middle and at the lowest step are provided with a wire (14) pulled downward when its switching mechanism (4) makes an ON-operation, and the circuit breaker at the upper side is provided with wire-coupling links (18, 19), trip-relay levers (16, 17), drive links (20, 21) and a relay link (22) to which wires (26, 27) as other ends of the wire (14). By displacing a trip piece (7) upward by an upward displacement of the relay link (22), a latch mechanism of the switching mechanism is made in non-engagement state to prevent the upper-side circuit breaker from being made ON.
