The sighting device comprises a bead (3) and a bead saddle (1) assembly and one or several light emitting diodes (LED) (4). Light from the diodes (4) is passed via an optical fiber (5) to the desired light discharge location (9) in the bead (3). All bead elements, especially bead saddle, are coupled to form an electric circuit. Preferably, a complete bead is made of light conducting material to increase illumination surface area of the bead.
