An asymmetric mass element (4) is secured to a rotation axle (2) and its position along the axle can be altered in order to shift the centre of gravity for the gyroscope (1) between starting and end positions. In a first position, a first main axis (5.1) defined by the axle and a second main axis (5.2) defined by the mass element both extend through the centre of gravity for the gyroscope and have the same inertia, so that rotating the axle allows stable rotation of the gyroscope.
