PURPOSE: A method for recycling a fluorescent substance of a fluorescent lamp is provided, to allow the fluorescent substance wasted in the end-forming process of a glass bulb to be recycled without the deterioration of brightness. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of separating a fluorescent substance from the inside of the both terminals of a glass bulb of a fluorescent lamp; and removing the carbon remaining in the fluorescent substance. Preferably the carbon removing process comprises the step of heating the fluorescent substance at a temperature of 500-600 deg.C under air atmosphere; mixing the fluorescent substance with pure water and removing the impurities; or removing organic materials by using at least one selected from the group consisting of pure water, hydrogen peroxide, sodium hydroxide and acetic acid. Preferably the fluorescent substance separating process from a glass bulb is carried out by heating the both terminals of a glass bulb at a temperature of 300-400 deg.C. |
