<p>A pulverized fuel combustion apparatus which is provided on a side of a vertical square cylinder-shaped furnace, in which a vertical plane extending on an axis in a direction of fuel injection is not perpendicular to the side of the furnace, and furnace wall piping and burner panels are easy to build, and maintainability of a burner nozzle is improved. The above object is attained by constituting a burner nozzle (1) shape not to be symmetrical right and left with respect to a vertical plane extending on an axis (8) with an opened surface (2) on a tip end of the burner nozzle aligned with a side (7) of a furnace.</p>
