PURPOSE: A sewage treatment system using artificial wetland system including functional ceramics is provided to remove organics as well as nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus with stable treatment efficiency not being affected by environmental factors such as fluctuation in influent organic load and temperature change. CONSTITUTION: The sewage treatment system comprises a raw water storage tank(10), a contact oxidization tank(20) having a contact filter media, where denitrification ceramic and adsorption ceramic are installed as a string-shaped, and an aeration device(21), a settling tank(30) and an artificial wetland basin(40) and is characterized in that the artificial wetland basin consists of a settling reservoir(44) where sewage is flown and stored, a first tank(41) where a sludge settling plate(407), a coarse gravel layer(400), hydroxyapatite(1), denitrification ceramic(2) and a microorganism activated ceramic filter media layer are layered from the lower part in sequence, a second tank(42) where the sludge settling plate, the coarse gravel layer, the adsorption ceramic and the microorganism activated ceramic filter media layer are layered from the lower part in sequence, a third tank(43) where the sludge settling plate, the coarse gravel layer, the hydroxyapatite, the adsorption ceramic and the microorganism activated ceramic filter media layer are layered from the lower part in sequence and an effluent tank(45), an aquatic plant is planted on the microorganism activated ceramic layered on each upper part of the first, second and third tank and many porous pipes are installed on the lower part of the sludge settling plate to remove settled sludge.
