INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE, AND INFORMATION CLASSIFICATION PROCESSING METHOD

Information created in a local device and recorded in a recording medium and information received from outside and recorded in the recording medium are both classified according to the creation date/time information without losi ng the advantage of classification. Each of the image data files recorded in th e recording medium is added with an original recording file flag indicating whether the data is picked up in the local device and pickup date/time information if the data is picked up in the local device or acquisition date/time information if the data is received from outside. In the classification processing, the original recording file flag is checked (step S1), the acquisition date/time is used if the data has been acquired from outside (step S2) or the pickup date/time is used if the data has been picke d up (step S3), classification processing is performed (step S4), and the resu lt is displayed (step S5).
