IMAGE FORMATION DEVICE, PROGRAM UPDATING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM FOR UPDATING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device which can improve the reliability of a new program when updating a program which functions an image formation device to the new program, a program updating method, and a storage medium for updating.

SOLUTION: The image formation device is composed of the following: a storage medium where a program to function the image formation device is stored; and a recording medium set-up method for updating which sets up the storage medium for updating where a program to update the above-mentioned program which is stored in the above-mentioned recording medium. With a condition that the electronic signature related to the above-mentioned program obtained from the above-mentioned storage medium for updating is rightful, the above-mentioned program stored in the above-mentioned storage medium is updated to the above-mentioned program obtained from the above-mentioned storage medium for updating. A program updating method for this update is also included.
