PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe for inside of body cavity that can be operated in the optimum state at the time of performing a laparoscopic surgery etc. SOLUTION: The inserting length of this ultrasonic probe 1 into a body cavity can be adjusted freely to A<SB>1</SB>or A<SB>2</SB>in accordance with the type of the technique or the depth of an objective portion in an objective body cavity. When, for example, the probe 1 is used in a shallow portion in the body cavity (when the probe 1 is applied to a shallow portion), the grip section 3 of the probe 1 is moved to the lower part of the inserting section 2 of the probe 1 into the body cavity and fixed to the section 2 by means of a fixing section 5 (refer to Fig. (A)). When the probe 1 is used in a deep portion of the body cavity (when the probe 1 is applied to a deep portion), the grip section 3 is moved to the upper part of the inserting section 2 and fixed to the section 2 by means of the fixing section 5 (refer to Fig. (B)).
