CATALYST FOR OXY-CHLORINATION TO ETHYLENE 1,2-DICHLOROETHANE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a catalyst with the guarantee of good functions in yield and productivity of DCE (dichloroethane) even if it is controlled at a relatively low temperature.

SOLUTION: This catalyst is the one for oxy-chlorination to ethylene 1,2-dichloroethane and contains compounds of copper and magnesium carried on alumina in which the copper as metal accounts for 7 to 12 wt.%, the ratio of Mg to Cu is 0.05 to 1, and the ratio of copper concentration shown by the ratio of Al to Cu on the surface per that shown by the ratio of Al to Cu within all the particles of the catalyst is 0.8 to 1.3.
