<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc brake having a light pad and provided with a structure suitable for a structure for suspending and supporting the pad by a hanger pin. <P>SOLUTION: This disc brake 1 is constituted in such a way that the pad 10 is composed of a friction member 3 and a back board 2 supporting a back side of the friction member 3 and an insertion hole 22 in which the hanger pin 5 suspending and supporting the pad 10 is inserted is provided in the back board 2. The back board 2 has a main body part 20 formed by a resin material and a ring part 21 forming a hole end fringe of the insertion hole 22 in which the hanger pin 5 is inserted.
