THERMAL PROTECTOR AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal protector having accurate repeating number of times of contact until becoming non-conductive by the repetitive contact of a fixed contact member and a movable contact member. SOLUTION: The thermal protector comprises a fixed lead wire 7 having a fixed contact member 4, a movable lead wire 8 having a movable contact member 5 arranged so as to contact the fixed contact member, and a bimetal 6 freely movable in the direction in which the movable contact member becomes distant from the fixed contact member in compliance with a prescribed temperature increase. The fixed contact member 4 is formed by covering an insulation metal 1 by a conductive part 2. The movable contact member contacts the insulation metal 1 when the insulation metal is exposed by the wear of the conductive part 2 caused by the contacting and separating movement of the contact members.
