ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC TRANSFER PAPER SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic transfer paper sheet capable of excellently maintaining a good traveling characteristic and quality in a copying machine though the usage of wood pulp is reduced by highly blending a filler. SOLUTION: The transfer paper sheet essentially consisting of the pulp and the filler contains precipitated calcium carbonate being the aggregate of spindle-shaped particles by≥8 wt.% per paper weight as the filler, and desirably, the average particle size of the precipitated calcium carbonate is 1.3 to 3.0μm and the specific surface area thereof measured by a BET method is 5 to 12m2/g. Thus, the usage of wood material in the transfer paper sheet is reduced and further optical aptitude such as opacity and whiteness is improved without spoiling the traveling property and housing property in the copying machine or a printer.
