PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control system of a working machine, which can easily realize further energy saving operation than a case where an engine rotation speed is simply reduced. SOLUTION: A pressure switch 36 for detecting whether a load operated by a hydraulic circuit 33 is in a loaded condition or in a no-loaded condition is provided in the hydraulic circuit 33 which includes a main hydraulic pump 32 driven by an engine 31 mounted on the working machine. A time period of the no-loaded condition detected by the pressure switch 36 is monitored by a controller 41, and the engine 31 is stopped when a certain time period elapses in the no-loaded condition. The controller 41 reduces the engine rotation speed to a low idle position when the no-loaded condition lasts for a certain period of about a few seconds, and stops the engine 31 of the low idle condition when a certain period of several tens of seconds elapses in the no-loaded condition.
