PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for a fire hydrant which prevents people from getting enveloped in smoke or inhaling smoke during a fire-fighting operation or evacuating. SOLUTION: The device 1 for the fire hydrant, to whose main body 4 a front door 9 is attached, is characterized by being provided with a gas mask 10 in it. Pushing a button 11c of a communicator 11 releases a lock of the front door 9.
