PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage system for integrally managing a plurality of storage controllers and its control method. SOLUTION: The I/O from a host device to a second storage controller is processed through a first storage controller. The first storage controller holds the management information of the second storage controller, and thus a logical device pair is generated even between the first and second storage controllers.
