The invention relates to a connection box (1) for connecting breathing components (40) to a medical device (20), preferably a breathing apparatus. The connection box can be inserted into the breathing apparatus in a detachable manner and has components which are provided for sterilisation when the user is changed. By arranging an expiration valve (4), which is to be sterilised, in the connection box, partial dismounting of the breathing apparatus is no longer necessary, enabling sterilisation steps to be introduced more quickly, or the non-working time of the breathing apparatus can be significantly reduced, including when more boxes are introduced. |
