Mobile terminal has a user interface with positionable selection means, means for measuring the movement of the terminal (1) relative to a user (3) and means for positioning the selection means on the user interface based on the measured relative movement. An independent claim is made for a method for operating a mobile terminal in which the movement of the terminal relative to a user is measured and used for controlling input means. The method uses face detection and tracking using an integral camera of the mobile terminal.
