<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella rental managing method for reducing the waste of resources such as the accumulation of umbrellas rented to users or the dumping of unnecessary umbrellas. <P>SOLUTION: This umbrella rental managing method for lending umbrellas by deciding the distribution of the number of umbrellas based on a weather forecast information data base comprises a store information management procedure for managing store information including the number of umbrellas to be lent in each store, a recycle information managing procedure for checking the recyclable conditions of umbrellas, and for managing recycle information including the number of umbrellas to be recycled, a decision procedure for deciding a region fulfilling predetermined conditions based on weather forecast information managed by a weather forecast information data base and a delivery deciding procedure for deciding the delivery of umbrellas to the rental places for lending umbrellas in the region fulfilling the predetermined conditions based on the decision result of the decision procedure and the store information and the recycle information. Thus, it is possible for a user to borrow an umbrella in a remote place such as a station or a convenience store in a rainy day, and to return it to a near recovery exclusive box when it is not necessary.
