<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applicator which controls the oscillation of a die head for discharging a coating liquid when it is moved and applies the homogeneous coating liquid on a substrate. <P>SOLUTION: A spindle member M is fitted to the base part K of an arm 6 which supports the die head 11 and moves on a rail 4. By the spindle member M, the center of gravity U of a moving system R including the arm 6 and the die head 11 is made to agree with the action line L of driving force P working on the arm 6 by a linear motor 9. In this way, the moment by the driving force P does not work on the moving system R, and the behavior of the arm 6 during movement is stabilized, so that the oscillation of the die head 11 is controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
