PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-in-oil type eyelash cosmetic which excels in an effect for making the eyelashes appear longer to contrast with the eyes (long lash effect) and its persistence, and is easy to remove the cosmetic with a remover, further has good usability, can obtain a uniform cosmetic film, and has good stability with time as well. SOLUTION: The water-in-oil type eyelash cosmetic comprises (A) at least one oil soluble resin selected from pentaerythrite rosinate, trimethylsiloxy silicic acid, and a candelilla resin, (B) a fiber, (C) an aerosol silicic anhydride, (D) an organically modified clay mineral, and (E) an aqueous component.
