PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold which can mold an elastic roll high in sway precision. SOLUTION: The mold is composed of a cylinder mold 1 and cap molds 2 for closing both ends of the cylinder mold 1. By setting the coefficient of linear expansion of the cap molds 2 to be larger than that of the cylinder mold 1, the cap molds 2 are expanded rather than the cylinder mold 1 by heat during molding. The clearance in the radius direction between the inner surface of the cylinder mold 1 and the engagement part 2b of the cap mold 2 fitted into the cylinder mold 1 is made just 0μm or close to 0μm.
