PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric potential measuring device having a constitution effective to be miniaturized and to have high sensitivity and high reliability. SOLUTION: This electric potential measuring device is equipped with torsion springs 102, 103, a rocking body device having a rocking body 104 journaled rockably by the torsion springs, and a signal detection means having detection electrodes 111, 112 arranged on the face of the rocking body 104. The distance between the detection electrodes 111, 112 and an electric potential measuring object face is changed by the rocking device to thereby change the capacitance between them, and thereby an output signal appearing on the detection electrodes 111, 112 is detected by the signal detection means.
