PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely reduce the data size of embroidery data by compressing the embroidery data with an always stable compressibility. SOLUTION: As for the embroidery data having a plurality of control codes showing the kinds of control related with embroidery sewing and control data respectively attached to the control codes, when a plurality of pieces of sewing command data respectively consisting of a pair of the control code and the control data attached to it continue in the state of including the same kind of control codes, a device for processing embroidery data deletes at least the second control code and the control code following this from the continuing plurality of sets of sewing command data to prepare compressed embroidery data.
