COMPUTER PROCESSING METHOD, EXECUTION SYSTEM THEREFOR AND PROCESSING PROGRAM THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology allowing release of an access right to a shared device even if a system changeover from an active-system computer cannot be executed. SOLUTION: This method has: a step for directing the system changeover from the active-system computer to a standby-system computer to a shared storage control means when detecting failure occurrence in the active-system computer; and a step for inquiring of the active-system computer from the shared storage control means whether the active-system computer is in normal operation or not when receiving the system changeover direction from the standby-system computer. The method also has a step for releasing the access right to a shared means of the active-system computer and imparting the access right to the standby-system computer when it is detected that the active-system computer does not normally operate as the result of the inquiry; and a step wherein the standby-system computer takes over a program process executed by the active-system computer when the access right is imparted to the standby-system computer by the shared storage control means.
