The fluid-bed cooler, especially for an ammonium nitrate/nitrogen fertilizer granulating assembly, has a fluid bed (5) divided into two sections (5a,5b) to cool the product. They are arranged over each other, within a common housing (1a), so that the produce drops through gravity through the two sections. Stepped perforated plates (9) form the air flows for the fluid bed from the air inflow (10). A constant temperature is set in the final section, before the product take-off (13).
