PURPOSE: An indoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to quickly exhaust the air in the indoor unit and to effectively dry the inside of the indoor unit by operating an exhaust fan and a blowing fan used for an air-control operation. CONSTITUTION: An indoor unit(2) of an air conditioner is composed of an intake port(2f) for sucking in the room air; a withdrawing port(9) for drawing the air into the room; a ventilation flue(15) for communicating the intake port and the withdrawing port; a heat exchanger(41) installed in the ventilation flue; a blowing fan(5) for discharging the air of which the temperature is regulated by the heat exchanger into the room; an opening unit(15A) disposed on the wall surface of the ventilation flue; and an exhaust device(17) having an exhaust fan(18) and communicating with the opening unit to discharge the air in the ventilation flue. In an exhaust operation, the blowing fan is operated at the predetermined RPM(Revolution Per Minute) at the same time as the exhaust fan is operated.
