PURPOSE: A drying and washing machine is provided to improve a sanitary state by preventing production of a bad smell or mold caused by rot of water remaining in the washing machine. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine includes an ion elution unit(100) eluting metal ions and a control unit(690) eluting the metal ions from the ion elution unit and adding the eluted metal ions to water. The control unit adds the metal ions eluted from ion elution unit to cooling water in a drying process of drying the laundry by supplying warm air to a receiving tub for receiving the laundry, and cooling the air exhausted from the receiving tub by the cooling water.
