METHOD FOR PERFORMING NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING BY 3-D PROCESSING OF PULSE ECHO SIGNAL USING 2-D WIENER FILTER

PURPOSE: A method for performing a nondestructive testing by 3-D processing of a pulse echo signal is provided to simply perform a nondestructive test for a structure by converting an ultrasonic pulse echo signal to a 3-D space signal. CONSTITUTION: A method includes a step of scanning ultrasonic waves to a tested structure. Pulse echo ultrasonic data are achieved from the tested structure. The achieved pulse echo ultrasonic data are processed by using a wiener filter. The pulse echo ultrasonic data are processed by the wiener filter in a direction vertical to an ultrasonic beam transmission direction. The tested structure is visualized in the 3-D space by using the pulse echo ultrasonic data processed by the wiener filter. The tested structure is visualized in the 3-D space by using a maximum intensity projection manner.
