<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate a first unique word composed of the prescribed number of symbols from a second unique word, wherein the first half has the same code as that of the first unique word and the latter half has a code opposite from that of the first unique word. <P>SOLUTION: An inverse modulation processing part 26 inversely modulates an input signal Si inserted with a unique word UW by the first unique word UW1. An FFT (fast Fourier transformation) processing part 28 applies FFT processing to the inversely modulated signal f (UW).
