PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk device for realizing excellent data security by encoding write data by an encoding key peculiar to host equipment, an information processing method and a program.

SOLUTION: A disassembly and assembly part 11 disassembles and assembles data corresponding to the size of the data to be written from the host equipment H to this device D and the size of a sector and a cluster to be a read / write unit in the device D. An encoding part 12 generates a peculiar bit string as the encoding key by performing a prescribed arithmetic operation on the basis of the identification information of at least the host equipment H or its CPU and encodes the data to be written by the encoding key. In the encoding, respective bits having a prescribed correspondence relation with the contents of the encoding key are inverted for each read / write unit of the data.
