PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional image reproducing apparatus such as an electronic camera that a user cannot designate an image desired to be printed and the number of printouts and print out the image on a recording medium whose write is inhibited because of the presence of a write inhibit function of the recording medium (memory) in the case of visibly printing out an image signal on recording paper of a printer from the image reproducing apparatus and that record stop resuming information cannot be recorded onto the recording medium so as to avoid a printed image from being printed again in the case of resuming printing that is stopped during printing. SOLUTION: An image reproducing apparatus includes: a resume control means for resuming print by a print setting on the basis of information resulting from interruption recorded on a recording medium; and a notification means for notifying the user that resume control on the basis of the interruption information cannot be performed when the printing by the print setting is interrupted in the case that the recording medium is set to a write inhibit state.
